Ingredients
Promises
Lightweight and hydrating. The anti-acne properties help remove excess sebum and dirt deep within pores to prevent pimples and anti-bacterial to reduce acne formation. It is alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and no artificial colouring and oils.
Packaging
Transparent hard plastic with a tilt-and-pour opening. I very much prefer pump feature so I will usually transfer this makeup remover into another container. Saw some photos of the pump version online.
The transparent packaging makes it easy to see the amount of product left in the bottle.
Smell
No distinct smell or anything that makes me uncomfortable.
Consistency
Fluid like water.Removal power
Apply a few pumps of Biore Micellar Cleansing Water on a cotton pad.
I tested on a swatch on all the make up I usually use except blusher. Click to read my review on the individual products. Also, stay tuned to these upcoming reviews!
Before:
From left to right:
Lips - Kylie Matte Liquid Lipstick
Eyebrow - Sasatinnie Eyebrow Pencil
Mascara - Heroine Make Long&Curl Waterproof Mascara
BB cream - Nature Republic Eco BB Cream
After 1 swipe:
Removal power is slightly below average. I literally had to rub hard to remove the liquid lipstick. However, Heroine Make mascara remained (It is really super waterproof!).
Tried it on other mascaras and this takes some effort to clean them off too (compared with some other brands of Micellar Water).
Aftermath
Skin feels comfortable, non-sticky or overly oily. I will still cleanse it with a facial cleanser after.
Works alright for simple, light makeup.
Acne Care
Not sure how valid this claim is, I am thankful for good skin recently. My guess is that Biore Micellar Water is very gentle and does not seem to have a lot of unnecessary ingredients such as fragrances (irritants). Monitor and stop using should your skin acts up.Overall
This is as light as water. It does not leave an oily/sticky feeling. I feel Biore Perfect Micellar Water is great for people who wear light makeup, or as the last step to lift off any remaining impurities on the skin. I usually use only a couple of products daily (Sunblock, eyebrow pencil, concealer, blusher, eyeliner and mascara) so it can clean decently. As mentioned, it cannot remove Heroine Make waterproof mascara and it takes quite a bit of effort to remove other brands of mascara as well.
Most importantly, it does not break me out or irritate my skin.
Overall, I still prefer something stronger/more effective because I really don't like going in twice to remove any residual make up/waterproof eye make up. This will probably not work well for people using heavier makeup or more lasting makeup products.
