Travel: Hill Myna Condotel, Phuket Accomodation near Bang Tao Beach

Condotel means it is a Condo made into a hotel. In short, something similar to Airbnb.
Building Facilities
There are a small gym and pool in the Condotel.




Just let me jump directly to the view from the room. That's the reason I chose to stay there!

Room

We got the room with the best view (according to the guy from the reception). I really like the vibe of this place - bright, ceiling-to-floor windows that overlook a field of greens. The surrounding area isn't quite developed, thus the good view.


Quality of bedding and linens are of good quality.

In the room, you have a round coffee table and chairs. You have two mirrored wardrobe doors and I like to use it during makeup.

Living Room

Comes with a couch and TV. Really like the Scandinavian vibes - simple and comfortable.

Toilet

Standing shower with necessary bath items.

Kitchen

A door separates the kitchen and the main living space (living room/bedroom). This side of the apartment is not air-conditioned. Makes sense if you're keen to cook. The kitchen comes with a small fridge, stove, kettle, microwave and sink. There are pots, utensils and some cleaning materials (at least for the unit I stayed in) if you intend to cook.
We did not while we were there.

The small 'balcony' is where the air-conditioner unit is, and a washer if you need.

Cleanliness

No problem with cleanliness with this apartment.

Location

Not very convenient despite many places are nearby. It is almost impossible for you to move around without some sort of vehicle. We rented a mini Honda from Hill Myna Condotel after considering the cost of private hire.

Driving to Patong area, where all the malls are, will take you around 25-40 mins. It is about 30-40 mins away from the airport.


It is a short drive away from cafes and even supermarkets. I saw tuktuk in the carpark, I think you can arrange for transport to Bang Tao beach or somewhere nearby.

Service

Excellent service and we had a wonderful chat with the reception guy. He has a good command of English so not to worry.
He was so chill, really envy him hahaaa

Car Rental

Thankfully, car rental services are available in the Condotel premises. There are some other services too (massages etc). We opted for a Mini hatchback Honda (1.3CC I think) and it was great. Reasonably priced and works very well. No issues at all.
We communicated directly with the friendly guy whenever we needed help.
So glad we booked with them because, on the last day, we top up to be driven back to the airport.
There were some delays and to be frank, I am not sure whether I will be able to reach in time if it was me behind the wheels. The guy took some shortcut (through some unpaved, narrow roads) and drove us safely and in time for us to catch our flight. Wisest decision ever.

Overall

Hill Myna Condotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The service, the room/apartment and the value it gives. Location is not the best but it is a good place away from all the hustle and bustle. You will need to have a car/bike to move around.
This is a hidden gem and it has always been on my mind to write about my experience... Took me a year so I hope most, if not all, things are still true/valid.
