Essential is so spot on with its name. It is definitely essential in my, and a lot of my friends', life. I picked up my first bottle of Essential shortly after it launched a few years back. I mean, it so so pretty, smells yummy and very affordable. My bathroom never runs out of it from then onwards. I've probably 4-5 treatments, 2 hair masks and 2 serums unused. It's my savior you see.

Here to share another Goodskin Labs product with you. The first product I've tried from their brand works pretty well for me. Sorry this review is so late because I really want to try it for long enough before I review it.

In a small squeeze tube with a good size tip, I can dispense an appropriate amount effortlessly. It is a good size and one small tube can probably last me for quite a while. I use only a tiny drop every single time.








Aftermath


The serum is absorbed in no time, doesn't feel oily after application. However, it will start feel oily a couple of hours later. I only apply to areas I need to treat hence the contrast is obvious. This is one of the reasons why I don't use this in the morning. I've not tried in under makeup so I can't comment on that.








Texture/smell


It is a more liquid cream thus it spreads really easily. It smells a little like fermentation process. Smells a little like alcohol too. I can't relate the smell to anything other than this so pardon me for that lol. It is not as strong as their firming serum.








Instant reduction in pore size

Because I don't have a lot of open pores so I can't really tell if there's really instant reduction in size.








Results

I don't really have open pores (seen some on the inner part of my face) so I tried it on areas I always experience blackhead/whitehead/clogged pores. After using it conservatively for a couple of nights, I notice my blackhead/whitehead/pores reduced significantly. You can fill open pores with a good primer but clogged pores....? Good luck. I'm so glad it is slowly doing something to my skin









The Verdict:

I've been using it for a good 10 days before blogging about it. It is seriously not long enough to work its magic but I did see improvement. Prior to this, I tend to get a lot of clogged pores (read whiteheads on my chin and blackheads on my nose/cheeks, fml). I don't really have super obvious pores (thank god) but I have a lot of blackheads and whiteheads. They come in a package with makeup, sadly. But after using this serum, I noticed my open pores/whiteheads/clogged pores/blackheads reduced significantly! My inner part of the face is no longer filled with tiny black 'dots' wtf. Woke up to really smooth skin everyday!! I can literally scrutinise my face with the mirror less than 5 cm away now without feeling all grossed out. Sorry I don't have any photos because I'm breaking out due to hormonal change + rashes :( Ate sotong last night because I feel like it and bam. PS I'm not given the price for this but I will check it out when I drop by SaSa one day.

Would really love to try their eyecream for dark circles one day as I have had good results with Goodskin Labs products.

I'm always conscious about how I smell after I wake up. I usually keep my mouth shut until I brush. I don't like minty breath but that's no doubt better than morning (aka bad) breath hahaha.





The packaging

Boy I'm impressed. Unlike your conventional squeeze tube toothpaste, Dentiste is designed with a pump dispenser. It is definitely more hygienic and you get the same amount of toothpaste every single time. Yes, I'm one of the lazy people who squeezes from the middle/top and end up wasting tons of toothpaste. I can't comment on whether this design will be get every bit out of the container.
Comes in a hard sturdy bottle. It is pretty heavy though!





Cleaning effect

Teeth feel clean after using. In fact I don't feel there's as much plague as before. Teeth still feel 'smooth' hours after using it (after breakfast and lunch). Not much whitening observed but I don't think they made this toothpaste for that.


Fresh breath

I'm sitting on the fence for this. I've been sick for a while so I can't tell whether it really helps. You know when you're sick you wake up with that bitter, disgusting taste in your mouth?so KIV!



Pricing:

It is considered more expensive than the usual toothpastes available in the market.



The verdict:

Dentiste toothpaste comes with a higher price tag. I suggest you pick up a sample from TSS before deciding. A cheaper alternative will be the normal squeeze tube form. They are more economical. However, I can't deny how convenient and hygienic the pump dispenser is. Plus I don't have to squeeze toothpaste! I really don't like squeezing toothpastes.
It cleans well, probably even better than a lot of toothpastes I've used. No whitening though :(
This is not a fair representation as I'm not well enough to test the key function of this toothpaste.

Ionic toothbrush. Technology is so advanced now omg. I believe you've heard about the benefits of ionic hair dryer, straightener (if you haven't, google it!). And now, ionic toothbrush.

Kiss you's comes in two different brushes - flat and fine. Fine has tiny little bristles and I find it does a better job than the flat brush. Personal preference.




Cleaning effect

I used this with Dentiste toothpaste, I used this with my normal toothpaste. It really cleans well. Even problematic areas (such as the back of my teeth) are pretty much plague-free now, well at least it feels like that.


Brush



To be honest the flat brush I was sent felt SO hard when I used it for the first time. The trick to use this is to brush gently. You don't need a lot of force to brush with this. No gum bleeding if I brush gently. I think I would prefer the fine head to the flat one as my teeth overlap a lot. A fine brush head can probably clean the hard-to-reach areas better. That being said, I've never tried their fine brush head before. However, the old toothbrush I was using has a fine brush.



Benefits of ionic toothbrush

It definitely sounds convincing but whether it really works or not is another story. I can't see ions (sorry no superpower eyes!) nor any significant difference. You will only know after using it for a prolong period of time.

Every school leaves me with a clique quite different from the other. University (Though this is not the end yet) gave me this bunch of really outstanding girls. They excel in almost everything yet they are still so humble and nice. We can laugh over the silliest things and I'm so glad they have my back.

Haven't been attending lectures etc but I would try to next Semester. Not going to give up my chance as a student/friend anymore.

Today, a typo gave our group a new name. Frankly speaking, I'm not very satisfied with chemists. It's too... general, and strong hahaaaa.



Chemigalz (sounds like Chemicals!) is such a joke and it is so punny. I like punny stuff - they are smart in a twisted manner. It is a much better representative. ^^

Anyway, wanted to write 'chemgalz' (cause our conversations are lame like that) but accidentally wrote 'Chemigalz' Didn't know I can make such a big difference. Get it? HAHAHA.
