Poke Bowls have been increasingly popular in recent years. Poke means "to slice or cut" in Hawaiian. It is usually diced, marinated raw fish tossed in either a carbohydrate base or salad base. It is also top with other toppings like seaweed nori, avocado etc.
I chose a salad base with spicy salmon and original tuna. This is the medium bowl, the portion is pretty generous.
Honestly, I rarely eat raw fish as the 'fishiness' can be overbearing at times. However, the fish chunks that were served here were not only thick, but they were also very fresh as well.
Love the Hawaiian beach vibes, especially this glass table.

They have standard bowls for you to choose from. Alternatively, you can make your own poke bowl! They also offer beef and chicken options if you are not keen on having raw fish. Tofu can be a substitute for vegetarians.
I went ahead to customise my own bowl and here is my review.

They do not provide any other sauces except for lime slices. Initially, I thought it would be rather bland and dry to eat my salad base without any sauce on it, but I was pleasantly surprised. Because the toppings were very well-seasoned, they gave dimensions to my salad base. Glad it wasn't too salty, like how some of the poke bowl restaurants do it.
The salad base helps fill me up without that I-ate-too much feeling. Definitely a healthier lunch/dinner option!

Love the Hawaiian beach vibes, especially this glass table.
Overall, another option for CBD peeps to try out (if you haven't). Choose the carbohydrate base to last you longer throughout the day and go for salad base if you are more health-conscious and want to avoid the usual food coma after lunch. I particularly enjoyed the fresh sashimi and how the toppings complemented with one another.
Last but not least, you can get a 1-for-1 deal for regular/medium poke bowls on the Entertainer App. Click here to read our other review on the Entertainer App.
